Who We Are
Who We Are
Anisa Sickle Cell Foundation (ASCF), founded in 2020 and incorporated in 2022, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease (SCD) in Nigeria. Founded on principles of personal lived experiences, advocacy, and education, we strive to address the physical, emotional, and social challenges posed by SCD.
Through community outreach, education, research advocacy, and healthcare support, we aim to create a supportive ecosystem that empowers sickle cell warriors to thrive beyond limits. Our expertise and passion drive our commitment to improving SCD management, promoting awareness, and fostering inclusive communities.
With a strong track record of implementing effective screening programs, providing medical assistance, and organising awareness campaigns, we continue to innovate and expand our services. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the prevalence of SCD in Nigeria the global epicentre and to bridge the gap in SCD care, ensuring equal opportunities for affected individuals to have fulfilling lives.
